Brecon Corries' run without a win on the road continued as they were defeated 3-2 by Croesyceiliog in the Ardal South East League at an overcast Woodland Road.
Despite some early pressure from Corries, the Torfaen outfit opened the scoring inside 11th minutes when Lewis Green ran on to a through ball from Riley Williamson, after the visitors were caught on the break, before rounding Corries keeper Steve Price and finding the back of the net.
Croesyceiliog doubled their advantage less than five minutes later after Hari Holtham was played through on goal by Jordan Hill, before composing himself to slide the ball past Price.
The Rich Field club hit back in the 29th minute after Craig Evans cut in from the left flank, before firing a low shot in the far corner of Adam Rafter's goal.
Corries continued to press for an equaliser in the closing stages with efforts from Joel Evans, Jack Biggs and Paul Keddle.
The visitors began the second-half on the front foot as Biggs headed narrowly wide following a cross from out on the right.
But Brecon Corries were caught on the break with less than 20 minutes to play after losing the ball in their opponent's half of the pitch and Morgan Devlin was on hand to finish a swift counter-attack for his team's third goal of the afternoon.
The visitors did give themselves some hope in the final minute of normal time, when Craig Evans eventually forced a loose ball over the line from close-range, but the Corries were unable to score a third goal in stoppage-time that would have secured a share of their spoils.
Damien Daniels will be hoping that his team can bounce back when they return to the Rich Field on Saturday as they entertain mid-table Abertillery Bluebirds.
