A BRECONSHIRE junior footballer’s dreams have come true when she met her idol at a Wales international last month.
Carys Bufton from Brecon who plays for Brecon Corries Juniors under 12 and trains with the South Wales representative group always wanted to meet Alice Evans, the Welsh goalkeeper.
Alice’s parents Neil and Catrin arranged to take Carys down to the game held at Haverfordwest where the team cruised to a 4-0 victory over Kazakhastan to claim their first win of the qualifying campaign.
Alice who has made history by becoming Britain’s first Women’s professional Futsal player signed up with Italian Serie A Elite League club Sinnai in Sardenia, Italy a month ago, but also plays as a goalkeeper for the Welsh National football team.
After the game against Kazahkstan, Carys met Alice and handed the Welsh player her shirt and got the team to sign a programme for her. Carys also had photos taken with some of the players.
