KNIGHTON Town extended their unbeaten run to nine in the Spar Mid Wales League first division with a 2-0 home success against Welshpool Town.

First half goals from Dewi Allen and Sam Williams were enough to move The Robins second in the table just two points behind leaders, Penrhyncoch.

Hay St Marys had been on a run of five defeats but The Saints returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win at Llandrindod Wells.

The Spa men had not lost at home in the league this time but that record went out of the window as Brendan Hackett, Rob Sneddon and Jack Biggs netted for Hay.
