RHAYADER Town remain in trouble in the Huws Gray Alliance following Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Holyhead Hotspur.
The Red Kites were level at the break but there was no way back after Phil Williams fired the hosts ahead on the hour with Alex Jones and Corey Jones adding further goals.
There is no change at the bottom with Caersws and Llanfair United also suffering defeats. Caersws, who trail Rhayader by a point, will be kicking themselves as they led 2-1 at home against Greford with goals from Alex Jones and Daryl Rogers only to see Gresford go on to win 3-2.
And Llanfair crashed 6-1 at Porthmadog where James Davies had put them level at half-time before Porthmadog went on the rampage with former Rhayader man, Asa Hamilton bagging one of the goals
