A ‘TWEENIES’ (under-7s) football festival was held at Hay-on-Wye on Saturday, October 20 in glorious weather.

Tweenies teams hold practices most Saturdays and then travel once-a month, in rotation, to Sennybridge, Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells, Brecon, Crickhowell, Rhayader, Llangynidr and Hay for fun one-day football festivals organised under the auspices of South Powys Junior Football League.

Some teams are very skilled while others are still learning the rudiments of the game. Nevertheless, all play with enthusiasm and, by the end of the season, will give a good account of themselves before progressing to older age groups.
