DYFED Powys policeman Gary Cole swept his way to gold at the Police Sport UK National Judo Championships held in Newquay last month.

The Saturday, September 15 event was hosted by Devon and Cornwall Police for the first time and held at Newquay Sports Centre where Cole won a gold medal in the -66KG category.

Cole fought Gary Liddle of Surrey Police to win gold in the final.
