The Ladies section of Cradoc Golf Club continues to be very busy as the summer season is coming to a close.
The section is a hive of activity. Every week, as well as golf, the ladies have enjoyed some fun competitions which keep golfers of all ability interested and involved.
Most recently held was a team game, which raised nearly £300 for Breast Cancer Wales.
As the proceeds are for cancer the ladies were expected to wear something pink - and an array of outfits were on view!
21 ladies turned up on Saturday when a draw took place for teams of three to play 12 holes of golf. Team spirit as always was very strong, with each team determined to win.
With seven teams out in ideal conditions for golf, optimism of each team was high and banter great.
When the golf began the concentration increased and some good golf was played by many ladies.
However, the winners by a huge seven points were three experienced golfers - Brenda Powell, Anita Hughes and Ronnie Cresswell.
They scored a terrific 53 points and were inspiration to all - congratulations to "The Three Amigos".
Cradoc Ladies are always looking for new members to join, whatever level of golf you play.
There are serious and high level competitions for ladies to participate in as well as weekly in-house competitions. Alternatively, there is the option to merely play golf for exercise and fun.
The ladies do a lot of fundraising but most importantly they provide friendship and companionship and support of all kinds for one another.
So please come along and join in - golf is excellent for your physical and mental health.
