Hay-on-Wye Tug of War U19s and U23s men’s teams have been crowned Junior Welsh National Champions and will now represent Wales on the world stage.

The two teams are set to represent Wales in the World Championships in Sursee, Switzerland in August. 

During the World Championships there will be 30 nations taking part, with a total of 1000 athletes competing. 

Tug of war requires strength, endurance, and teamwork. The teams are training intensely to go head-to-head with the world's best athletes - in the hope that they bring home a medal for Wales. 

The Club is looking for sponsors to help with funding their travel and expenses involved in getting to Switzerland, so the teams can enjoy this one-in-a-lifetimeopportunity.

Hay on Wye Tug of War Club is an amateur sports club set in the Welsh borders. They are an expanding club that has a promising youth section who are committed to training three times a week in preparation for their ongoing competitions across Wales.
