NINE Knighton Hockey club members and one supporter did the Wales Three Peak Challenge, climbing Pen-y-Fan, Cadair Idris and Snowdon earlier in the year.
The ladies took up the challenge to raise money and awareness for charity and have doanted money to Knighton Ladies Hockey Club, Knighton Community Sports Association, The Wales Air Ambulance and The Teenage Cancer Trust.
Those who took part were Zoe Penlington, Kate Morris, Heather Brick, Abbie Price, Sinny Price, Izzy Brick, Tilly and Meg Neary, Marion Brick and Rachel Venables who were helped by volunteer drivers Martin Neary and Clive Brick to get them from place to place.
They started at Pen-y-fan at 5am and finished at Snowdon at 9.30pm. It was roughly 25 miles walking and the vehicles transporting them covered 300 miles from start to finish.
The girls raised £2,500 and have recently donated £250 to the Wales Air ambulance, £250 to the Teenage Cancer trust and £500 to the Knighton Community Sports Association.
