BRECON Paralympic Games hero Rob Davies has claimed his maiden European table tennis title.
London 2012 hero Davies defeated friend and British team-mate Paul Davies 3-0 in an all-Welsh final to claim the European Para Table Tennis Championship in Italy earlier this week.
The 29-year-old had beaten German Paralympic champion Holger Nikelis en-route to the final, before claiming a whitewash win over the 46-year-old Davies who claimed a bronze for Team GB at the Paralympics in London last year.
"It feels amazing to be European champion," said a beaming Davies after winning Monday's final.
