MEMBERS of Powys Netball Team have played in this seasons’ Welsh Netball Tournaments.

The U14, U16 and U18 squads took part in the tournaments and the U18s squad had a win against North West Wales with five points; they got one points against North East Wales A and one point against North Powys. They finished in sixth place with seven points.

The U14s squad won against West Wales and drew with North West Wales and South East Wales. They gained one point against Afan Nedd Tawe and this gave then 12 points with a sixth place finish.

The U16 squad came seventh with no points but played well despite the opposition being extremely tough.

As the tournament progressed the girls became more confident as a team and the defenders made numerous interceptions and turnovers with the shooters scoring some unbelievable goals. Hannah Barron was voted Brecon & Radnor Player of the Tournament.

The squad was made up Amy Sinclair, Minnie Alder, Ffion Bufton-Matthews, Hannah Barron, Milly Davies, Abigail Williams, Charlotte Roberts, Ellie Clements, Ellie Willetts and Elin Davies and are coached by Liz Slade and Bethan Denley.
