Hay-on-Wye based Trainer Katy Price is celebrating after achieving an across-the-card double at Wincanton.

Her first winner last Saturday (November 22) was Definite Winner, ridden by Ben Poste, who romped home in a two-and-a-half-mile hurdle in the opening race at 12.35pm.

Despite her name it was the mare’s first ever win. She is owned by Najinder Sander.

On the same afternoon, at 3.20pm, Clondaw Rigger won the three-mile chase.

Clondaw Rigger is owned by a group of 10 “older gentlemen” in a syndicate named the Katy Price Racing Club. Like Definite Winner, Clondaw Rigger was also ridden to victory by Ben Poste.

Both horses were led up by groom Georgina Davies.

A delighted Katy said: “I’m delighted to have trained by first double, which came on the same day as my first winner three years ago. Obviously November 22 is a lucky day for me! I have a great team working with me that obviously helps too.”
