The British Cycling National U23 Men’s and Women's respective Road Race Series took to Powys roads this weekend for the Junior Tour of Wales.
Saturday saw Round four of the British Cycling National U23 Women's Road Race Series starting in Three Cocks at Gwernyfed High School.
The field, made up of Junior and Under 23 riders raced a challenging 80 km (50 mile) course based on the circuit used for the Cadence Junior Road Race in south Powys.
The race was won by Libby Smithson of AWOL O'Shea cycling club, awarding her 60 points towards the British Cycling National U23 Women's Road Race Series, which has five rounds of races.
Lucy Glover of Shibden Hope Tech Apex Club finished second, gaining 52 points to the overall standings.
Millie Jenkins from Brother UK-Orientation Marketing club finished third, giving her 45 points towards the overall standings.
On Sunday, 9 July, the Junior Tour of Wales (Round 3 of the British Cycling National U23 Men's Road Race Series) started in Three Cocks at Gwernyfed High School.
The men raced on the same course as the women but completed a longer 117km race.

The race was won by Cycling Sheffield's George Wood, awarding him with 60 points towards the overall standings.
William Harding from Wales Racing Academy finished second, receiving 52 points, and Samuel Clark from trainSharp Elite finished third in the race.
