Fire crews were called out to Hay-on-Wye last week to tackle a fire in a two-storey domestic property.

At 6:27pm on Thursday, November 28, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth, Brecon, Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells Fire Stations were called to the incident near Bridge Street.

The fire measured around 15 metres by 10 metres.

The entire roof space of the property was involved in the fire. Crews used four breathing apparatus sets, two hose reel jets, two thermal imaging cameras, four main branches, one light portable pump, lighting, one triple-extension ladder and small gear to extinguish the fire.

Crews left the scene at 10:35pm.

No occupants were inside at the time of the fire.
