The A483 from Llandrindod Wells to Llanbister is currently closed due to a collision.
Dyfed-Powys Police has asked road users to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
An air ambulance has arrived at the scene.
Police Officers at the scene have said the road will be closed for a few hours.
