A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A470 on Sunday.
The collision, between a Honda motorbike and a black Skoda Fabia, occurred at the Pont y Bat junction with the A438 at around 11.40am.
An air ambulance from Welshpool arrived on the site between Bronllys and Felinfach at 12.07pm and treated the patient who was then taken to hospital. A Wales Air Ambulance spokesman said: "Our crew treated a patient at the scene who was then airlifted to hospital."The aircraft left the scene at 12.53pm and arrived at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff at 1.09pm. Our crew were clear at 2.21pm."
It is understood that the road was temporarily closed while the emergency services attended, however it re-opened a couple of hours later around 2.30pm.
Police have subsequently put out a plea for witnesses to the accident to come forward.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: "Anyone driving or riding along this road around the time of the incident is urged to call 101, quoting ref 160 of Sunday, October 7, as you may have information that could help investigators."
