Brecon High School is celebrating today following a "pleasing" set of GCSE results.
Interim headteacher Rob Edwards praised students for their hard work during a challenging academic year.
“We are incredibly pleased to see the hard work and efforts of our students being rewarded," he said.
"It is so pleasing to see the smiles on our students’ faces and that a number of students are returning to Brecon Sixth Form. This is particularly pertinent after what has been a challenging academic year for all.
“The school has made strong progress in all Key Performance Measures when compared to 2023 outcomes.
“I want to thank the staff, parents and the wider school community who have supported us throughout this year.”
Chair of governors, Rhiannon Evans, said: “The students receiving results this week have shown great resilience and the hard work that has gone into achieving their results must be recognised and celebrated.
“Brecon High School’s results show clear and strong improvement. More students are achieving at all levels and this gives us confidence for the future. As a school we remain committed to our ongoing journey of improvement, helping all our pupils achieve their potential.”
