Slimming World groups in Builth Wells have raised more than £1,000 for Cancer Research UK.

Members donated 43 bags of clothes for ‘The Big Slimming World Clothes Throw’ - an annual event which takes place in Slimming World groups across the UK that sees members donate clothes, shoes, and accessories that no longer fit.

The 43 bags amounted to an incredible £1,075 for the charity.

Anna James has been a Slimming World Consultant in Builth since January.

“My members lost 29 stone in April - they are all doing amazingly well,” she said.

“I am loving being a Slimming World Consultant.”

Anna’s groups meet on Thursdays at 5:30pm and 7pm in the Strand Hall, Builth Wells.
