An iconic and historic hotel in Brecon is set for a major £3 million refurbishment this winter.

Work on The Castle of Brecon Hotel will begin this week (Sunday), with plans to fully renovate the rooms, restaurant, bar and public areas.

The work will be completed ahead of an official reopening in spring 2025.

Part of the award-winning Coaching Inn Group, the latest move to reimagine The Castle of Brecon Hotel is part of the group’s mission to refurbish and revitalise historic inns to create elegant, comfortable and industry leading accommodation.

Built in the remains of Brecon Castle, and already a stunning hotel and wedding venue, The Castle of Brecon offers a restaurant, bar and meeting and function spaces, all with stunning riverside views and glimpses of Bannau Brycheiniog.
