A brand new Italian restaurant has hit the food scene in Brecon, opening on Wednesday, October 9.
La Piazza Ristorante is located at 21 A High Street Superior and is bringing Italian cuisine to the town.
Owner of La Piazza Ristorante, Suhel, known as Simon to locals, has worked in the restaurant sector for 24 years. He has also lived in the Brecon area for 15 years.
Suhel believes there is a gap in the market for his restaurant in Brecon.
“We felt like there was a market for Italian food with the town not having a nice Italian restaurant to sit down and eat at,” he said.
“We are really excited to be opening, and to welcome customers in whether they are looking for a romantic dinner for two or a lively gathering with friends and family. We have a great team, brilliant food and the restaurant has a nice relaxing atmosphere I believe.”
The team at La Piazza are already busy with bookings and walk-ins. The restaurant has seating on two floors and boasts a warm atmosphere and huge array of choices on their menu.
They are offering a range of Italian dishes and believe the menu showcases the best of Italian cuisine.
On the menu are dishes including pizza, pasta, rice, fish, salads and more, as well as vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.
The construction of the restaurant took place over many months and La Piazza Ristorante have extended their thanks to Brecon-based company, Seer Construction Ltd.
Suhel said: “This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our construction team Shane, Grant and Phil from Seer Construction.
“And I also want to give a special thanks to Jonathon for all the support and ideas. They have been by our side since day one and have played a pivotal role in transforming this restaurant into what it is today.
“Their commitment and passion have been instrumental in making this dream a reality, and for that, we extend our special thanks.”
