Brecon Town Council has announced recent changes to this year’s Brecon with Bells On event that will take place this Saturday.

Due to the Met Office’s yellow weather warning for heavy rain, and the expectation of strong winds on Saturday, the town council have decided to cancel the street stalls on Saturday.

A spokesperson for Brecon Town Council said: “Unfortunately we have had to take the difficult decision today to cancel the street stalls on Saturday due to the severe wind and continuous rain forecast on the day.

“Please be assured that this decision hasn't been taken lightly and is based on safety advice received.

“Street entertainment is being reorganised and more information will follow on this soon. The main stage will however remain in the Bulwark and the Santa's Grotto will remain at the Guildhall.

“We are very sorry about this and realise it is disappointing news but safety has to be the priority.”

Brecon’s Christmas lights will be switched on at 6pm by the Rich Brothers - Harry and David. They are award-winning Chelsea Flower Show exhibitors and beloved co-presenters of ‘Garden Rescue’ with Charlie Dimmock.

The schedule for the Main Stage on Saturday can be found below.
