Builth Wells Carnival once again proved to be a resounding success, bringing together the local community and visitors for a day of joyous celebration.

The weather tried its best to spoil the show but certainly did not dampen the spirits during the carnival atmosphere on Saturday, June 15.

An array of competitions and events was held across the week with something for everyone to get involved in.

Rachael Hughes, Chair of Builth Fest Carnival Committee said: “We were very proud of our community getting together and supporting the week’s events and the effort people have put in - from our scarecrow competitions to the carnival crafts and fancy dress and floats.

“We are very grateful for all the people that have helped us put on these events and help us all year round to raise money which enables us to hold the carnival and its events.

“Our next fundraiser/event will be a rounders day which will include our annual duck race and BBQ held on August bank holiday weekend.”
