A couple are offering a £3,000 reward to the person who can find their three-year-old Sprocker Spaniel, Baxter.
The dog was last seen in its kennel at home with Georgie Davies, originally from Crickhowell, and her partner David Chamberlain, who is the head chef at the The Vine Tree restaurant in Crickhowell.
Baxter went missing on Wednesday, June 21 between 9am and 1pm. The dog, which is from Llanfoist in Abergavenny, has been micro chipped.
They believe the dog was stolen as a VW Transporter Van was seen in the area around the time it disappeared. Georgie said:
"This is from information we have received from other people in the area so we are assuming they are linked. We have a strong belief he was targeted because he is just such a beautiful dog".
Despite contacting the police, they are only able to record the dog as missing as there is no evidence so suggest Baxter was stolen.
As well as posters, the couple have set up the Facebook group, which currently has 396 members, called ’Where is BAXTER?’ where members have posted pictures of potential sightings and shared information regarding Baxter.
Georgie said: "It’s horrible, if he had been run down or in an accident or something, we would rather just know. It’s like the unknown, it’s torturous because it puts on this pressure to find him and make sure he’s okay."
