Brecon-based Cradoc’s Savoury Biscuits and Knighton-based Radnor Hills were among the local suppliers to shine at a trade fair hosted by a leading Welsh food wholesaler recently.
Harlech Foodservice’s popular two-day Expo 25 packed 137 trade stands into Venue Cymru in Llandudno with crowds of more than 2,000 trade customers doing “brisk business”.
The event, which saw record sales of £1.5 million, featured both international food giants and local Welsh businesses, as well as those just across the border.

Cradoc’s, set up by Allie Thomas 17 years ago in Brecon, made its debut at the Expo.
“This is our first time at the Expo and it’s brilliant and a great opportunity to meet new customers, especially from the North West," she said.
“Harlech’s staff are very attentive and it’s good to meet people with a lot of positive things to say about Harlech. We’ve been given very good feedback.
“It’s a great place to showcase our award-winning biscuits and people really love what we do.”
Molly Breakwell, Key Account Manager at Radnor Hills, producers of bottled waters, also praised the event.
“The Expo is a brilliant event for us, very well organised and at a good time of year to meet our customers," she said.

The event also featured Welsh favourites like Jones Village Bakery, Sidoli Ice Cream, and Llaeth y Llan Village Dairy, alongside international brands.
The annual Expo is a key event for Harlech which last year announced a three-year £6 million expansion plan which has already seen it open new depots in Carmarthen and Telford in the last 12 months to add to those at Cricieth, Chester and Merthyr Tydfil.
They have also created 75 new jobs of a planned 150 increase in staffing taking the workforce to 250 and now runs a fleet of 65 vehicles.
