David Chadwick MP has welcomed the birth of his second son.
Rocco Llywellyn Chadwick was born at home in Watton, Brecon last Wednesday, weighing 7 pounds 12 ounces.
His mother, Gemma, is recovering well at home.
Mr Chadwick, MP for Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe, has thanked the Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB) Midwifery Team who delivered Rocco.
“We received excellent care from the PTHB midwifery team,” he said.
“We consider ourselves very fortunate that Powys still facilitates home births - some other health boards don’t - and we were able to have our son here in Brecon.
“Gemma enjoyed excellent continuity of care - all of the midwives provided exceptional antenatal and postnatal care.
“We are truly grateful and would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes.”
