A history of Llanfihangel Rhydithon County Primary School - known as Dolau - has been compiled by former Dean of Brecon, Geraint Hughes.

The book traces the school’s journey from its beginnings in the church vestry, its move to the toll house, the opening of the new school in 1930, and its closure in summer 2023.

Fully illustrated in colour, it includes photographs and memories from former staff and pupils.

Priced at £5, the book will launch at a Christmas lunch hosted by Dolau Recreation Association on Sunday, December 1, in the community hall next to the empty school. To book for the lunch, call 07904883038.
