Your wishes have been granted, as the much-loved tale of Aladdin flies into Brecon this weekend.
“It’s An Act” are very excited to be returning to Theatr Brycheiniog with this “genie-us” and classic pantomime.
You may remember this company from their previous theatre tours, with shows such as Bred in Heaven and Welsh comedies, Whose Coat is that Jacket and I’ll be there in a minute, now! This Llanelli-based company has since been very busy developing a reputation for high quality pantomime productions.
Following the giant success of Jack and the Beanstalk in 2023, writer Jack Llewellyn and director Dean Verbeck join forces once again to bring us a brand-new and imaginative take on the story we all know and love.
This year’s spectacular family production is packed with all of the traditional pantomime ingredients you have come to expect from Its An Act. It will feature sparkling costumes, sensational song and dance, and side-splitting laughter, with plenty of opportunities to join in the fun - whether it’s booing the baddie or cheering Aladdin on his next adventure.
The company has grown from strength to strength since their first pantomime in 2016 at Pontardawe Arts Centre with 12 performances over a two-week period, growing year on year to now visiting three Welsh venues. Last year more than 6,000 people watched Jack and the Beanstalk across two venues, and that number is on course to increase again this year with 38 performances in three venues.
Don’t miss the opportunity to join in the fun and be a part of Aladdin’s magical adventure on his quest to find love and riches, with a little help from his Genie friend. Make sure this pantomime extravaganza is at the top of your wishlist this Christmas!
With added chart-topping tunes, side-splitting comedy and a fresh yet familiar Lyric twist, expect an unbelievable cast, incredible costumes, uncontrollable laughter! Oh, yes you should!
Aladdin is showing at Theatr Brycheiniog on: Friday, November 29 (7pm), Saturday, November 30 (2pm and 7pm) and Sunday, December 1 (12pm and 5pm).
