The Bracken Trust Singers are this year celebrating 10 years of singing, companionship and fundraising by recording their third CD.
Entitled “With a Song in Our Hearts”, it reflects the type of song they have concentrated on in recent times, including favourites such as “No Matter What”, “Theme from a Summer Place”, and “Streets of London”, comprising of 16 tracks in all.
With Bev Nethercoat’s inimitable accompaniment, and Chris Clarke’s expert leadership, the Singers hope that the public will enjoy listening and singing along to many of the items.
The selection includes two solo pieces,”Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables sung by guest singer Mike Clarke (husband of leader Christine), and “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” from “Jesus Christ Superstar” sung by Chris Clarke herself.
Recorded live at Giant Wafer Studios, Llanbadarn Fynydd on November 5, their CD has been produced with the grateful help from The Bracken Trust, Heidelberg Graphic Equipment Ltd, and Sian Gwynn Buckler photography.
The CD is now on sale at The Bracken Trust Shop, Middleton Street, Llandrindod Wells, and The Bracken Trust Cancer Support Centre, Cefnllys Lane, Llandrindod Wells, priced at £10 or £15 for two, with all proceeds going to the Trust.
The Singers wish to thank all their friends, followers and supporters for their appreciation and attendance at the many public concerts they have given, especially since the Covid pandemic.
The Bracken Trust Singers send everyone their best wishes for a very happy Christmas.
