Ysgol Pontsenni, a dual-stream school in Sennybridge, has been praised by Estyn in its most recent report.

The school has been congratulated by the education and training inspectorate for its energetic and purposeful leadership, a shared vision with the importance of teamwork, a nurturing inclusive provision, pupils who demonstrate excellent behaviour, its dedicated staff, and creating a caring community.

Headteacher Keri Harry said she was "very proud" of the report.

"Staff and pupils have worked incredibly hard to develop a curriculum that promotes the independence of all pupils," she said.

"I am very grateful for the support from the community, staff, governors, parents and pupils in the short time that I have been at Ysgol Pontsenni.

"I look forward to continuing to strive for improvement with all stakeholders at Ysgol Pontsenni. Da iawn i chi gyd."

Chair of Governors at the school, Claire Moore, congratulated everyone at the school.

"I am so pleased to see the hard work and dedication of all who work at the school recognised," she said.

“The report reflects the very positive collaboration that exists between our local community, parents, staff, governors and children. Ysgol Pontsenni is a happy school that we all feel very privileged to be a part of.

"I am particularly pleased to see that Mrs Harry's leadership has been congratulated as in a short space of time she has set a clear strategic direction for the school's development and plans are firmly in place to take forward the recommendations set out in the report."

The school is set to undergo a significant transformation in the next few months with the development of a new building on the existing site.

Visits from prospective parents and families are welcomed at the school - feel free to get in touch.
