Forging their way back into the YFC competitive fields, Libanus YFC have fielded two all-female teams for lamb trimming and carcass judging competitions.

Four competitors, two from non-farming backgrounds, picked up their brushes and shears to work on lambs at the kind host’s farm, the Rees family of Bwlch and Crickhowell YFC.

Strong competition throughout in the under 16 section saw Lexi Phillips being highest placed female scorer with a credible fifth out of 16 for the first time of competing.

Also competing for their first time, club members Teleri and Jess gained seventh positions.

Shauna Evans, the only female in the under 28 competition, met stiff competition and gained third place.

Heading straight into the next competition, Shauna Evans shone with the carcass judging, gaining first place in the intermediate section with Sophie Lloyd also competing for the first time in the under 16 entries.
