A Breconshire farmer has been appointed as the new Office Manager for NFU Cymru.
Lindsay Jones, a farmer’s daughter originally from Hundred House, now lives in Llanafan Fawr with her two sons, where they farm beef and sheep.
Having had a varied career, working at an estate agents, being an admin assistant at a tourism business and Builth Wells Quarry, Lindsay had a change of career when her children were small and became a sports therapist. Before joining the NFU Cymru team, Lindsay worked as a Practice Manager in Builth Wells Veterinary Practice.
Speaking about her appointment, Lindsay said: “I am pleased to be taking on my new role as Office Manager for NFU Cymru. I see it as a new challenge in my career which will allow me to continue working within the farming sector, something I enjoyed while working at the vets.
“I already know a number of staff and members within the NFU Cymru team, and I look forward to meeting more people, who are all striving to give Welsh farmers a voice and the best possible representation on all platforms.”
NFU Cymru Director John Mercer said: “At such an important time for Welsh agriculture I am pleased to welcome Lindsay to the NFU Cymru team.”
“I have no doubt that she will ensure the office continues to run smoothly and ensure that members needs are met on a day-to-day basis,” he added.
