Sunday, September 29 saw dry weather for the start of the St Harmon Tractor Run, writes E A Bates.

The run was hosted at Tynewydd, St Harmon by Raymond Rees and family.

The event raised funds for Cancer Research and Blood Bikes Wales.

Participants had come from Newtown, Llanidloes, Llidiartywaun, Rhayader, Cross Gates, New Radnor and from as far afield as Cleobury Mortimer.

The convoy of tractors, led by Raymond Rees in his County 1174, toured the communities of St Harmon, Pantydwr, Bwlch yr Sarnau, Castle Vale, Llanbister, and the Pound to arrive at Rhosfallog Common for a much needed dinner break.

After some refreshments the tractors headed off again to Brook Cottage, Llanbadarn, Llaithddu and back to St Harmon.

Unfortunately, due to the previous week’s wet weather the route had to be kept to the tarred road, but this didn’t stop the enjoyment of the participants.
