Pontfaen YFC is thrilled to announce a series of outstanding achievements at the recent Brecknock YFC Drama Festival.

Competing across multiple categories, talented members brought home numerous awards and nominations, showcasing their creativity and dedication to the performing arts.

Senior One Plus Awards

The judges for the Junior & Senior One Plus categories were Mr and Mrs. John and Gemma James, both past County Chairs of Radnor YFC.

Mollie Hughes took centre stage with her exceptional performances. She was awarded:

• FUW Award for Best Female Individual Performance (28 years or under) in the Senior One Plus competition.

• Roly Price Award for 3rd Place in Senior One Plus alongside Ella Lewis for their moving performance of "My Mind".

Junior One Plus Victory

In the Junior One Plus competition, the club took home the Mrs. G Price Trophy with the electrifying performance “Let Us Entertain You.” The talented team featured Henry Boulton on keyboard, Riley Bufton on lead guitar, Noah Morgan on drums, and George Southgate as the lead vocalist. All four boys were nominated for Best Individual Performance (16 and under) for their efforts.

Pantomime Competition Highlights

The club also competed in the Pantomime category, earning sixth place.

• Mollie Hughes received a nomination for Best Actress (28 and under) for her role as Maleficent.

• Darcy Davies was awarded the Williams Coaches Award for Best Actress (18 years or under) for her portrayal of Frankie, a standout performance that captivated the audience.

Junior Member of the Year

On the Saturday afternoon of the festival, Celyn Owens made an impressive mark in the Junior Member of the Year competition, securing second place at just 14 years old. She is pictured receiving her award from one of the judges, Endaf - a testament to her hard work and dedication.

Pontfaen YFC is incredibly proud of all its members for their hard work, talent, and teamwork. Congratulations to everyone who participated and represented the club with such distinction.
