New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of Powys’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Diesel Records at 27 High Street, Knighton, Powys; rated on December 13

• Rated 5: International Welsh Rarebit Centre at The Old School, Defynnog, Brecon, Powys; rated on December 6

• Rated 5: Gwen Restaurant at 21 Maengwyn Street, Machynlleth, Powys; rated on November 15

• Rated 3: Eginiad Community Dinners at 21 Penrallt Street, Machynlleth, Powys; rated on November 14

• Rated 0: Sylhet Bangladeshi Restaurant at 1 Longbridge Street, Llanidloes, Powys; rated on October 23
