New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Powys’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Parry's Ice-Cream Parlour, at Coronation House, The Square, Talgarth, Brecon Powys was handed a two-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 15.

And Spice Hut Restaurant & Takeaway, at The Black Lion, North Street, Rhayader, Powys was given a score of one on August 15.

It means that of Powys's 410 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 281 (69%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
