New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Powys’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Greggs, at 25 High Street, Newtown, Powys was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on December 18.

And Herb Garden Cafe, at 5 Spa Centre, Station Crescent, Llandrindod Wells, Powys was given a score of four on November 18.

It means that of Powys's 417 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 267 (64%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
