New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to four of Powys’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to two restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Ascona Group Crossgates Cafe Express at Crossgates Cafe Express, Crossgates Service Station, Crossgates, Llandrindod Wells; rated on October 12

• Rated 5: Friends of Rhayader Luncheon Club at Leisure Centre, North Street, Rhayader, Powys; rated on October 4

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: GWERNYFED RFC LIMITED at Gwernyfed R F C, Trefecca Road, Talgarth, Brecon Powys; rated on October 11

• Rated 5: The Horseshoe Inn at Beaufort Avenue, Llangattock, Crickhowell Powys; rated on October 11
