New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to four of Powys’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to two restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: JD Golf Club at Machynlleth Golf Club (Kitchen), Newtown Road, Machynlleth, Powys; rated on June 1

• Rated 5: The Owl & Pussycat at 7 Hall Street, Welshpool, Powys; rated on May 30

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: Temple Bar at Fiveways, Temple Street, Llandrindod Wells, Powys; rated on May 30

• Rated 5: Quaint Country Weddings at SY21; rated on May 26
