Talgarth Festival of the Black Mountains took over the town on August bank holiday weekend with food stalls, a gardening show and the annual duck race.

On Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25, the festival took place in the centre of the town and welcomed Lady Kathryn Silk, High Sheriff of Powys and Lady Lily the Pink, also known as Berni Benton, a recent Parliamentary Candidate for the Official Monster Raving Looney Party.

The weekend included music, food and entertainment. Stalls of local artisan produce were located on Bronllys Road. The Cattle Market with animals and rural crafts was there for all to enjoy, as well as the brand new for this year Gardening Show. A car boot sale even took place on the Saturday.

Despite the strong winds attempting to cause chaos amongst the gazebos, the festival went swimmingly and ended with the annual duck race in the River Ennig on Sunday afternoon.
