Llanfaes C.P. School is celebrating after being awarded the Cymraeg Campus Silver Award, recognising its efforts to promote the Welsh language throughout school life.

Cymraeg Campus is a national Language Charter that encourages pupils to use Welsh both in and out of the classroom. At Llanfaes, the Criw Cymraeg, alongside their teacher Miss Thompson, has played a key role in building a vibrant Welsh language ethos across the curriculum and beyond.

The group has worked hard to involve pupils, parents, and the wider community in their mission, making Welsh a natural and enjoyable part of daily life. Their efforts have helped more children speak the language with confidence and fostered a strong sense of pride in Welsh.
