The Lluest Horse and Pony Trust will be holding its annual Summer Open Day and Dog Show this weekend.

The event takes place on Sunday, June 2 from 10:30am to 4pm at Beili Bedw Farm, Llanddeusant, within Bannau Brycheiniog National Park

Visitors have the chance to meet some of the wonderful horses and ponies that Lluest has rescued over the years, meet the staff, volunteers and trustees and learn more about the work of the Lluest Horse and Pony Trust, which exists to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome equines in need.

On the day there will be a fun dog show starting at 11:30am with classes to suit every pooch. There will also be a demonstration by equine behaviourist Jenni Nellist, an equine massage demo by Welfare Assistant Alys Birch, a vintage tea tent with tasty snacks and delicious homemade cakes, a chance to meet some of the reptiles rescued by Rose’s Reptile Rescue, trade stalls, preloved tack and rugs sale, plus a raffle with some lovely prizes - and much more.

Visitors can also meet, and learn more about, the four Lord of the Rings ponies, recently rescued after being abandoned and made famous by their TV appearance.

Entry to the day is free and there is car parking on site at £5 per car.
