RESIDENTS from Crickhowell and the surrounding area will be given an opportunity to discuss the response by agencies to the recent flooding at a drop-in session next week.
Crickhowell was almost cut-off during Storm Callum in the middle of October when the river Usk burst its banks and local roads and homes, including the Bridge End Inn, were flooded.
Now Powys County Council and its partner agencies have arranged a drop-in session at Crickhowell High School on Tuesday, December 4 to discuss how the emergency was handled and to see if it could have been better handled.
The drop-in session is open to residents in Crickhowell and Llangattock and surrounding areas and is billed by the council as “an opportunity to discuss the recent response to flooding in the area during Storm Callum”.
The meeting is due to start at 6pm and is scheduled to last until 8pm
