Five Powys train stations are among the top ten least used stations in the whole of Wales.
The Office for Rail and Road has revealed the most and least used railway stations in Wales, based on the number of entries and exits between April 2023 and March 2024.
In this time period, train stations: Cynghordy, Sugar Loaf, Cilmeri, Garth, and Dolau all ranked in the top ten least used.
Cyngordy station, located between Llandovery and Llawrtyd Wells ranked tenth on the least used list with 1,012 entries and exits of the station.
One stop away from Cynghordy is Sugar Loaf train station which had 992 entries and exits, placing the station as the ninth least used in the country.
Cilmeri station ranks seventh on the least used stations with 874 entries and exits, and Garth train station ranks sixth on the list with 838 entries and exits.
Dolau station is the least used train station in Powys with 828 entries and exits, making it the fourth least used train station in Wales.
The least used station across the whole country is Roman Bridge station with 680 entries and exits.
Denton in Greater Manchester was Great Britain's least used station at 54 entries and exits.
