Police have named the man who died in a crash between his car and a lorry on the A470 near Brecon on Sunday morning.
The crash between a blue Ford Focus and a white Man lorry occurred at about 5.45am on the main road between Llyswen and Pontybat crossroads.
Emergency services attended and the male driver of the Ford Focus – 30-year-old James Rogers, from Llandrindod Wells – was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dyfed Powys Police closed the road and put traffic diversions in place while they carried out their investigation at the crash scene.
A police spokesperson said Mr Rogers' family are being supported and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
The spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with his family, who are being supported by specialist officers.
"The A470 road is currently closed between Llyswen and Pontybat with diversions in place.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision or has information that could help the investigation is asked to contact the Powys Roads Policing Unit on 101.”
