THE presentation of the proceeds from the Newbridge on Wye Tractor Run took place on Saturday night, which saw £1,010 donated to Cancer Research UK, held at the Golden Lion, Newbridge on Wye.

The organisers, Keith & Sue Williams presented the cheque to Mrs Ida Bufton, representing Cancer Research UK, on behalf of friends of the Run and family and was watched by their team of willing helpers.

The annual Tractor Run, which takes place every September, this year used a figure of eight route which toured the communities of Llanafan, Cwmbach, Disserth and Trecoed and Llysdinam before returning to Newbridge on Wye.

Over the five years that the Run has taken place £8,000 has been raised for charity.
