Rusty the dog and Steve the handler from Search and Rescue Dog Association South Wales were on hand to help Brecon Mountain Rescue Team on Friday, December 15.

The team were called out to a missing person in the Cathedine area who had not returned from their regular dog walk.

Rusty the dog and Steve the handler made a successful find in the undergrowth. The casualty and their dog, managed to walk off the hill.

The casualty suffered a few scratches and was given a warm drink.

A spokesperson for Brecon Mountain Rescue Team said: "Well done Rusty and Steve! All was resolved by the early hours with everyone safely off the hill."
