Siop Llangors Shop is delighted to announce the appointment of a new shop manager.

Llangors resident Jenni-Sue Freeland is the new manager and is hoping to build on the hub’s success.

This exciting new chapter for the community hub is set to bring fresh energy and innovation, strengthening the shop's role in the heart of the village and wider community.

Jenni-Sue (JS) comes to the shop with a wealth of experience in hospitality management and a passion for community engagement. She is committed to enhancing the shopping experience while maintaining the friendly, welcoming atmosphere that the shop is known for.

"We are thrilled to have JS join our team," said Rose Snowdon, Chair of the Village Shop Committee.

"Her enthusiasm and dedication to community values align perfectly with our mission. We are confident that JS will be instrumental in driving our shop forward, ensuring it remains a vibrant and essential part of village life."

Siop Llangors Shop and Coffee Shop has become a cornerstone of the community since opening in November 2021. This is thanks in large part to its committed volunteers - their hard work and dedication are the backbone of its success. The shop also has strong links with the church, school, play park, scouts and community centre.

The shop and coffee shop is open seven days a week and is a welcoming space, offering a wide range of locally sourced products, fresh produce, and daily essentials. The cosy atmosphere of the coffee shop is the perfect spot for friends and visitors, to meet, share stories and enjoy a delicious cup of Black Mountain’s award-winning coffee, a soft serve ice cream with a flake, a milkshake, a waffle or a freshly-baked treat.

JS shared her excitement about the new role: "I am honoured to be joining the Siop Llangors Shop team. Llangors village has always had a sense of community, but the shop and coffee shop enhance that, and brings the wider community together.

“I am looking forward to working with all the volunteers and customers and building upon the shop’s success.”
