The sun shone brightly for the inaugural Gordon Green Walk, which took place on the final Saturday of September.
Organised by Green Events, the walk celebrates Gordon Green’s remarkable contribution to tourism and trade and the history of Llanwrtyd Wells.
Gordon started Man V Horse, Bog Snorkelling and many other successful events which have the put the small town firmly on the map.
Walkers converged at Drygarn Fawr, one of the high peaks of the Cambrian Mountains.
Gordon was transported to the top of Drygarn on a Gator, and at the cairn a drinks celebration took place.
Back at the Hall tea and cake were served and Llanwrtyd Wells Mayor, Jim Davies, presented Gordon with a plaque and scroll on behalf of Llanwrtyd Town Council.
