The crew members at Talgarth Fire Station recently gathered to celebrate the incredible achievement of their Watch Manager, Bryan Davies.

Celebrating 42 years of service, Bryan marks an extraordinary milestone of dedication and commitment to the community of Talgarth.

Bryan has served his local community for more than four decades, having responded to countless emergencies as well as adapted to the ever-evolving demands and advancements of the role.

Bryan is the longest serving firefighter Talgarth has ever had since a fire station was set up during the war years in May 1943.

Bryan’s career with the service began when he became a retained fireman at Talgarth station on October 5, 1982. By the late 1980s, the term ‘fireman’ had been replaced with ‘firefighter’ in all formal brigade contracts.
