This year’s Christmas Extravaganza, Brecon with Bells On, will once again take place on the streets of Brecon, on Saturday, November 18, from 12 Noon.
A parade will take place before the opening of the event. There will be entertainment on stage in the Bulwark, music in Bethel Square, Christmas busking and other street entertainment before the switching on of the Christmas Lights at 6pm.
Two marquees situated outside the Guildhall and St Mary’s Church, as well as stalls in the street, will be selling festive items and delicious refreshments. The Market Hall will house the monthly Craft Fair.
There will be a Santa’s Grotto at the Market Hall Vaults, a children’s magic show at Guildhall, arts and crafts sessions and facepainting at Y Gaer, and much more. All free of charge!
This year’s best dressed shop/business window competition theme is The Wizards and Witches of Magical Brecon.
A spokesperson from Brecon Town Council said: "We are excited to once again see all the creative and beautiful window displays that brighten our town during the festive season. Judging will take place after 12 noon on Wednesday, November 15, so please have your windows ready by then.
"This fabulous event brings the whole community together to show Brecon at its best and twinkling under the Christmas Lights!"
